CLASS OPTIONS:
Sewing 101 – Hand Sewing + Machine Basics

JUNE 8-11, 2026
If you’ve ever felt intimidated by a sewing machine or unsure where to start, this class is for you. We’ll walk through how a sewing machine actually works, how to thread it without stress, and how to fix the most common issues (tension problems, thread bunching, skipped stitches, etc.). You’ll also learn essential hand stitches, seam basics, and the small techniques that make sewing feel much easier and more predictable. By the end, you won’t just “use” a machine, you’ll understand what it’s doing and why.

Alterations & Mending – Hemming, Repairs & Fit Skills

JUNE 15-18, 2026
This class focuses on the skills people constantly wish they had. We’ll cover hemming garments properly, taking garments in, simple repairs, and how to approach fit adjustments without guessing. You’ll learn how to identify why something doesn’t fit the way you want, and what you can realistically change. We’ll also talk through fabric behavior, finishing techniques, and how to make alterations that actually look professional, clean, and intentional.

Structured Tote Bag – Create a Lined, Sturdy Tote

JULY 20-23, 2026
This project is a great way to build real construction skills. You’ll learn how to work with structured fabric, sew clean corners, add lining, and assemble a bag that holds its shape. Along the way, we’ll reinforce accuracy, seam consistency, and techniques that apply to many other sewing projects. Even if you’re mostly excited about the tote itself, the real value is learning how to put pieces together neatly and confidently.

Elastic-Waist Lounge Pants – Sew Comfortable, Everyday Pants

JULY 27-30, 2026
Garment sewing can feel mysterious, especially when fit is involved. In this class, you’ll learn how to read and work with a pattern, assemble a wearable garment, and sew elastic waistbands correctly. We’ll discuss sizing, basic fit considerations, and common mistakes that cause garments to feel “off.” This class helps demystify clothing construction while giving you techniques you can reuse for many future projects.
